Ever just look at your blog or business one day and just thing: argh? Yep, I’ve been there too. You may have noticed that my blog name has recently changed from the creativeauthorpreneur.com to the prolificcreative.co.uk. I didn’t feel my old name represented me. Yes, I”m still a creative author-entrepreneur but I didn’t feel like the name fit into what my blog is and what I want it to be plus the name was kinda hard for people to remember. I want to inspired writers, bloggers and other creatives but not just through self publishing, writing or blogging. I feel like my new name the prolific creative fits in so much better with what I am and what I want to inspire other people to be. Plus I am a prolific creative I write books, blog, edit, run my own business and more.
Here are 3 tips for re-branding your blog or business:
1. Decide why you want to re-brand. Is it because you want to change the name and style of your blog or business? Have you outgrown your old name? Do you want to change the type of blog or business you’re running?
2. Decide what needs re-branding. This could be anything from:
- Domain name/url
- Email address
- Site Design
- Social names
- Your bio + about me page
3. Make sure everything is ready for the re-branding. It’s a good idea to to set a launch date and email your subscribers – I didn’t do either of these and struggled to catch up. First I had the hassle of changing my domain name then getting my logo redesigned. Plus updating my email list and freebies and images.
